Yes. Point Did It Ship at your self-managed GitLab instance during setup; we connect through the same app authorization and only read branch and merge-request metadata over your instance’s API.

Never. Promotion opens a real PR/MR into the next environment and stops there. A human always reviews and approves the merge — Did It Ship has no path that merges code on your behalf.

One seat is $1/month and bundles one user slot and one repo slot. You need seats = max(users, repos). Adding a user or repo beyond your seats is hard-blocked until you buy another.

No. We never clone, read, or store your source. The SCM app grants access only to branch, commit, and PR/MR metadata — enough to show status and open promotion PRs, nothing more.

Connections use scoped, revocable app tokens over TLS, and every branch, promotion, and role change is written to an immutable audit log. You can disconnect a provider at any time to revoke access instantly.
